Dear Brothers & Sisters missing someone during this season.
It’s the season when families gather together to feast and enjoy each other’s company. But someone will be missing. Maybe for the first time for years, you will have only memories of one who was usually with you. We give gifts and eat our favorite foods and laugh and tell stories. But right now, we are having heaviness because someone left us and went on into eternity and we feel the loneliness.
So let us focus on the real gift; Jesus, our Savior. And let us thank God that His only begotten Son paid the penalty for our sins, and thank Him for those He allowed us to enjoy for a while, and lavish love on those who still remain with us. When Jesus was born, there was no room for him in the inn. He was born in a place meant for animals to live. But today, we are able to let him live in our hearts. Let us remember whose birth we celebrate and give thanks to God that Jesus made the way for us to become sons and daughters of His family.
Sent with my love from my heart to yours,
